For Prospective Students

I have reserved time slots to supervise master students for thesis and semester project in EPFL. Besides, for undergraduate/master students in any other universities who are interested in working with me in research projects, I usually look for students who can devote at least six months, either in person or remotely. I believe six months is the minimum time for a student to delve into certain topics.

Potential Topics

1. Counterfactual Causal Analysis: (i) How to use LLMs to generate counterfactual scenarios to explore what-if questions, helping scientists understand the impact of altering certain variables; (ii) Propose interventions and predicting their outcomes with LLMs.
2. Causality with Science: I am actively looking for students from other majors like Chemistry and Physics. The intersection between sceince and LLMs looks facinating for me.
